welcome, 2013!

2012 was a pretty awesome year if a bit of a blur. It's as if the last 365 days whizzed by in the blink of an eye. I'd recap the last year, but to be honest, I haven't been able to keep track of it all. So many projects, so many new beginnings, so much family stuff and life mark moments with the kids and even just the fact that there are now kids, plural, in my life. It's been wonderful and overwhelming. The last month alone has been filled with teaching a variety of patchwork classes at gather here, coming up with new small projects for potential classes, writing tutorials, and constructing patterns:

Working on prototypes/samples for January classes. 2013 is gonna ROCK!

and working on gifts for the wees, like this doll for D using the elf pattern by wee wonderfuls:

And DONE! Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

and the holidays. Oh, the holidays and all that they bring:

Hung by the chimney with care.

I'm so excited by all the possibilities this year, all the plans I hope to actualize, all the projects I have in the wings finally taking center stage, watching my wees grow and develop, teaching them and playing with them and growing with them. This year, my only resolutions (if I would call them that) are to find a better balance between work and the wees and to make all the beautiful things. Here's to 2013. May yours be filled with all the beautiful things (and people and places), too!

Eeeeeee!!! Colored pencils from Matt!
