second sweet sweater

sock yarn sweater

pattern: Sock Yarn Sweater - Child's Version
designer:  Hannah Fettig
yarn:  Madelinetosh Tosh Sock in Home
needles: Addi Turbos US size#4

Two things about this project:

1. The pattern is probably one of the clearest, most straightforward patterns ever written. I love it. Hannah Fettig, aka knitbot, rocks. I'm eager to knit more of her wee designs because oh my, they are so lovely and quick to knit. I'm in luck, as she has this beautiful collection out now.

2.  I am so happy to finally put this MadTosh Sock yarn to good use. It was languishing too long as an unfinished sock. Remember when I used to knit socks? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Ahhhhh, that was fun....

babies move fast

Oops! I lied. One more thing (making it three) - the sweater is a little big on D right now. I knit it at the 12-18 month size thinking it would juuuuust fit her, but once blocked it grew a little. Also, I am loose knitter, so? I'm sure it will fit her perfectly come fall. She's growing so fast and these days moving so fast as well. Little walkers cannot be contained, yo! She's got places to go!

Very cute. I have a ton of sock yarn in my stash, so I might have to check this sweater out (if I can find time to knit something that isn't baby blankets for friends).

I've wanted to knit this sweater for a long time; good to know it's a great pattern!

Nice Sweater! I commend you for using sock yarn. I make socks all the time but not sure I would want to use that small of yarn for a sweater. LOL
