sneaky peeks - the handwarmer project

sneaky peeks - purl bee handwarmers

I've said it a million times, and I will say it again: I love the purl bee! Immensely, enthusiastically, and totally love it! When I saw this pattern for handwarmers, I couldn't resist. I treated myself to the yarn they recommended (The Fiber Company's Organik) and cast on as soon as I got the chance. The yarn is FABULOUS, but more on that later. I am almost done with the first one. My hands hurt a little from working the stitch pattern (and because my right hand has not been too happy lately), so I am going a little slower than I normally would with this. I could definitely see someone cranking out a pair of these in one day, however. Anyway, that's just a sneak peek. Hopefully, I will have a finished pair to share with you soon.

P.S. - Have you seen the pattern for the baby hat? GAH! I want to make that! I need to make that! And I think I have just the yarn for it somewhere....

Eee eee eee! I'm so happy you're back! Not that I don't love the softie-blogging, because I do, but here I can have something more relevant to say than "OMG SQUEE THAT IS THE CUTEST THING EVER" which is all I know how to say about your softies, being only the most rudimentary of softie-makers myself.

Of course, with that said, those mitts are omg squee the cutest things ever.

How fun! I am excited to start reading your knitting blog! Woohoo!

I also love the Purl Bee, I wish I had enough time to make everything on that site!

Your Endpaper Mitts are super cute! I'm all for more knitting blogs - they're such a great inspiration. Are you on Ravelry?

Thanks everyone! Feels good to be back and even better to be knitting again.

And Zarah, I am not on Ravelry, but you can catch me here and on Flickr. Ravelry sounds great, but I don't think it's my thing. I don't go to places with velvet ropes nor waiting lists of over 10,000 people. ;)

I am so happy to see you in this forum again :) and beautiful mitts! I love Purl Bee too, and my mind immediately went to all of the yarns in my stash that would fit this pattern. Great colors for yours, M!
